Spooner - Rock Capitol of Wisconsin?

Dante's Lounge had the distinct pleasure of playing at the Stone Pony in Spooner, WI this past weekend. Let me guess, you're saying, "Spooner?". Yes. Spooner. This small town hosted a collection of heavy rock bands this past weekend that is perhaps the best line-up we've ever played with. Each band was extremely accomplished, and the crowd from this small 2500-person town was up to the challenge. The entire night was infused with incredible intensity from both the bands and the crowd. This was the kind of show we'd expect to see on the main stage at First Avenue, and we don't say that lightly. What a night.
