Trocaderos nightclub is no longer thumping. Club owners could not be reached for comment on why the three-story downtown Minneapolis hangout closed, but the Web site states, "Thank you for your patronage. Building for lease or sale."
There were no regular dance nights when the club opened 3 1/2 years ago. Instead, doors opened whenever weddings, singles mixers or DJs and bands were booked on the calendar. Famous bands that have rolled through include the Roots and Kaiser Chiefs.
The Warehouse District spot has had its fair share of controversy lately. In the past year, three lawsuits were filed against the club in Hennepin County District Court alleging sexual harassment and other inappropriate behavior. Two of the lawsuits have been settled out of court.
